Art and Fic rec
Dec. 1st, 2010 01:26 amOkay, so
hd_holidays has just started posting gifts. And part of me wish I had participated, but I didn't really have the time. Next year. Anyway, it's only been a few hours so far, and I already just need to recommend both pieces.
In the Interest of Piece and Goodwill (Harry/Draco) {art} - A breathtaking comic drawn and shaded by hand (!). The little story in it is beautiful with implications of so much more of a world. Both Draco and Harry are great. The art is amazing. Check it out.
In Vino Veritas (Harry/Draco [Charlie/Oliver, Ron/Pansy, and implied Hermione/Percy]) {fic} - Only 17k. And I mean only. I could hardly believe it was over by the time it ended. It develops and flows so naturally I could not stop at any point. The cast is large, well-characterized, and set a rich world for a classic plot that is executed wondrously. I will definitely be re-reading this one. Even if you are not a huge H/D fan, I'd suggest checking it out.
